Need Help with Sewing?
I have been sewing for many years, and learned my skills through both formal workshops/classes and the agonizingly slow path of trial & error.
While there are many YouTube videos out there that show you nearly every imaginable technique in the sewing world, sometimes you can’t replace the benefit of one-to-one personal instruction or coaching. Sometimes you just need somebody to talk through your ideas for a pattern hack or discuss a tricky technique.
If you’re struggling with some aspect of personal sewing and would like to consult with me for help, please reach out via Facebook Messenger or email (sue {at} this website domain without the www). I’m happy to do a virtual meeting to provide advice, trouble-shoot a tricky spot, or advise on decisions. If you’re located near to Victoria, BC then we can meet in person (with physical distancing/pandemic safety measures) for a consultation.
Ongoing coaching/tutoring is also available. Rates would be determined on an individual basis and sliding scale ranging from “baked goods” to an hourly rate that feels right for both of us.
I do not take custom sewing commissions, nor do I do alterations or mending. For ANY level of compensation. Occasionally I will offer to sew something for someone – that is not the same as a commission.
